Thanks again for the continued feedback, I had the chance to work further on the image this evening. Decided to go ahead and change the background and foreground soldier as I wasn't really liking either. Also gave the chica a prosthetic leg to try and make her fit more with the scene. Other than that most of the image is still rough, haven't gone into much detailing since I keep making big changes to the scene.

The soldier's pose is more interesting, but you've lost the compositional interest you had before of having him so far in the foreground going off page. Maybe if you had his right arm coming straight toward the viewer it would help.
